3/4 cup buttermilk

Multigrain Straun is a healthy and delicious bread often enjoyed as a breakfast staple in Scandinavian countries. Instructions

1.In a bowl, mix 7 tablespoons of whole wheat flour, 1 1/3 cups of mixed grains, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt together.
2.Add 3/4 cup of buttermilk and mix until well combined. Cover this mixture and let it sit overnight.
3.The next day, in a separate bowl, mix 1 3/4 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/4 teaspoon of instant yeast, and 3/4 cup of water together. Cover this mixture and let it sit for an hour.
4.Then, add the previous day's mixture to this and mix well. Add 7 tablespoons of whole wheat flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 2 1/4 teaspoons of instant yeast, 3 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of melted butter, and 1 cup of whole wheat flour to the mixture.
5.Knead this mixture well for about 10 minutes.
6.Cover this mixture and let it rise for 1-2 hours.
7.Preheat your oven to 400°F. Then, shape the dough into a loaf and put it in your baking dish.
8.Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
9.Let it cool down before slicing and serving.
