1/4 lb bacon , diced
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
2 large onions , diced
1 cup white wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 pinch nutmeg
1 pinch mace
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 lemon , juice of , medium
2 sprigs parsley

Instructions

1.Clean the mushrooms and slice or quarter them if they are large.
2.Fry bacon in a large skillet until crispy, remove and set aside.
3.In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft.
4.Add sliced mushrooms, paprika, mace, nutmeg, salt, and pepper and cook until soft and tender.
5.Add white wine to deglaze the pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6.Pour in heavy cream and bring to a boil.
7.Reduce heat to low and add crispy bacon, lemon juice, and chopped parsley.
8.Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
9.Serve hot over egg noodles or rice.
