Ingredients

2 onions
1 tomatoes
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon groundnuts
1 tablespoon coconut
1 inch cinnamon
4 -5 cloves
1 cardamom
2 tablespoons curds
500 g mushrooms
2 -3 green chilies
1 teaspoon curry leaf
1 tablespoon coriander leaves
3 -4 tablespoons oil
1 inch ginger
6 -7 garlic
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Mushroom Salan is an Indian curry dish that is famous for its spicy flavors and amazing taste. This recipe has a perfect balance of spices and tanginess, making it ideal for people who like flavorful dishes. The recipe can be cooked quickly and easily it's perfect for lunch or dinner. This dish can be paired with plain rice or even roti, making it an all-season favourite.

Instructions

1.In a pan, heat oil and add sliced onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Fry until onions are golden brown.
2.Add sliced tomatoes, sesame seeds, groundnuts, coconut, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Cook until tomatoes are soft and the mixture turns into a paste.
3.Add chili powder, turmeric powder, curd, and curry leaves. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
4.Now add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes or until mushrooms are soft and cooked thoroughly.
5.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or parathas.

Mushrooms are considered as superfood as they are low in calories and rich in nutrients such as Vitamin D, Selenium and Potassium.
This dish is perfect for vegetarians and vegans.

CONS

This recipe is a bit spicy, so not recommended for people who can’t tolerate spicy food.
In some cases, mushroom allergies are observed causing stomach cramps, diarrhoea, itchiness and skin irritation.
