Ingredients

6 large eggs
2 cups portabella mushrooms
1 medium onion ( any kind )
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 -2 sprig fresh cilantro ( optional )
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Mushroom Deviled Eggs are a unique twist on classic deviled eggs. The combination of sautéed mushrooms and onions mixed with egg yolks and mayonnaise creates a flavorful and satisfying appetizer. While this recipe may require a bit of prep time, the end result is well worth it. Not only are these deviled eggs tasty, but they also provide essential nutrients and potential health benefits.

Instructions

1.Place the eggs in a pot and cover with water.
2.Bring the water to a boil and cook for 10-12 minutes.
3.Remove from heat, drain the water and place the eggs in cold water to cool for 5 minutes.
4.In a skillet, sauté the mushrooms and onions over medium heat until softened.
5.Peel the eggs and cut in half lengthwise.
6.Remove the yolks and put them in a mixing bowl.
7.Add the mayonnaise, cilantro, salt and pepper to the yolks and mix together.
8.Fold in the mushrooms and onions until combined.
9.Fill each egg white with the mixture.
10.Garnish with additional cilantro if desired.
11.Refrigerate until ready to serve.
