24 slices pepperidge farm white bread
3 tablespoons minced shallots
1/4 cup butter
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms , finely chopped
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
1 tablespoon minced parsley
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
minced parsley ( optional )
grated parmesan cheese ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.

11.Top with optional parsley and parmesan cheese.
12.Bake for another 10 minutes.
