Ingredients

15 large fresh button mushrooms , clean , wash and thickly slice mushrooms
1 small onion , peeled , washed and finely chopped
4 -6 fresh garlic cloves , peeled , washed and finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 bay leaf
4 cups vegetable stock
salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
3/4 cup fresh cream
2 cups whole milk ( chilled )
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1.In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add garlic and onions and sauté until onions are translucent.
2.Add the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook until the mushrooms have released their moisture and are soft and tender.
3.Add vegetable broth, bay leaf, salt, and white pepper powder. Stir and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes until heated through.
4.Remove the bay leaf and add milk, cinnamon, and fresh cream. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
5.Blend the soup in a blender until smooth. You can use a sieve to strain any lumps.
6.Serve hot with croutons or warm bread.
