Instructions

1.Rinse and drain the mulberries. Remove any stems or leaves.
2.Place the mulberries in a large pot with 100 ml of water.
3.Add the lemon juice and sugar. Mix well.
4.Cook the mixture over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved completely.
5.Raise the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil.
6.Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until the jam thickens.
7.While cooking, stir the mixture occasionally.
8.To test the jam's consistency, place a small amount of jam on a chilled spoon and let it cool.
9.Push the jam with your finger. If the jam wrinkles, it is done. If it is still runny, let it cook for a few more minutes and test again.
10.Once done, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
11.Pour the jam in sterilized jars. Cover tightly and store in a cool, dry place. The jam will thicken even further as it cools down.
