Ingredients

1 can coconut milk
2 lbs lean stewing beef , cut into 2 . 5cm cubes
3 tablespoons ghee
2 large yellow onions , sliced and quartered
6 garlic cloves , minced
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger , minced
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cumin
1 1/4 teaspoons coriander , freshly ground
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
2 green cardamom pods , crushed
2 bay leaves
6 cm cinnamon sticks , broken in half
1 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup cilantro , chopped
Mughlai Beef Curry, also known as Mughlai Frezi, is a traditional Indian dish that originated in the Mughal Empire. Instructions

1.In a large pot, heat the ghee. Once melted, add the onions and cook until softened and lightly browned.
2.Mix in the garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, cayenne, turmeric, garam masala, cardamom, bay leaves, and cinnamon sticks. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
3.Add the tomato paste, salt, and coconut milk. Bring to a simmer.
4.Add the beef and stir until coated with the sauce.
5.Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover. Cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the beef is tender.
6.Remove from heat and mix in the yogurt and cilantro. Serve hot with rice and naan bread.
