Ingredients

5 ounces flank steaks
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
4 teaspoons light soy sauce , divided into two 2 oz portions
2 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons rice vinegar , NOT rice wine vinegar
2 garlic cloves , minced
vegetable oil or any high smoke point oil
8 ounces flat rice noodles
1 1/2 cups broccoli florets , sliced
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons kecap maniss indonesian sweet soy sauce
1 tablespoon fish sauce
Pad See-Ew is a traditional Thai dish made with wide rice noodles stir-fried with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and often served with stir-fried vegetables, eggs, and tender slices of beef or chicken. Due to its flavorsome taste, Pad See-Ew is one of the most popular dishes in Thailand, and you can easily find it in most Thai restaurants around the world. Mrs. G's Easy Pad See-Ew recipe eliminates the complicated ingredient list that often comes with cooking authentic Thai dishes, making this a quick, simple and tasty dish to enjoy without any fuss.

Instructions

1.Cut the flank steak into thin bite-size strips.
2.Add baking soda and mix well.
3.In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce, 2 oz of light soy sauce, and sugar, and rice vinegar.
4.In a large pan or a wok over high heat, add oil and stir-fry garlic until golden brown.
5.Add the beef and let it cook for 1-2 minutes until brown on both sides.
6.Add rice noodles to the pan and stir-fry them with the beef.
7.Pour the sauce mixture onto the noodles and let it cook for another 2 minutes.
8.Add the broccoli to the wok and stir-fry it for 1-2 minutes.
9.Push the noodles and broccoli to one side of the wok, and add the remaining oil to the other side of the wok.
10.Scramble the eggs on the empty side of the wok and mix them with the noodles and broccoli.
11.Add the remaining 2 oz of light soy sauce, kecap manis, and fish sauce to the wok, and stir everything together.
12.Cook for another minute or two.

CONS

Pad see ew has high sodium levels due to the soy sauces used in the dish.

It is high in carbohydrates due to the use of rice noodles.
