5 tablespoons apricot jam
3 ounces slivered almonds
2 dashes ground cinnamon
14 sheets phyllo dough
6 tablespoons sweet unsalted butter , melted
1 egg yolk , slightly beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
4 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon orange blossom water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon icing sugar

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.

5.Fold the edges of the squares over the filling to create a package and brush with the beaten egg yolk.

7.While the pastries bake, prepare the syrup by mixing together sugar, water, honey, orange blossom water, and cinnamon in a saucepan. Cook on low heat until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is slightly thickened.
8.Drizzle the warm syrup over the baked pastries and dust with icing sugar.
