Moose stroganoff is a hearty and satisfying meal that has its roots in Russian cuisine. The recipe typically consists of strips of beef cooked in a creamy mushroom sauce. However, in this variation, we use moose meat instead of beef for a unique twist on a classic recipe. This dish pairs very well with mashed potatoes or wide egg noodles. It is easy to prepare and perfect for sharing with family and friends on a cozy evening in.

Instructions

1.Season the moose steak strips with salt and roll them in a mixture of 1/2 cup of flour and 2 tablespoons of flour.
2.Heat three tablespoons of oil in a skillet and brown the strips of moose steak evenly on both sides for about 3-4 minutes. Take them out of the skillet and set them aside.
3.In the same skillet sauté the onions, garlic, and mushrooms until tender.
4.Add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and 1 cup of beef broth to the vegetables; cook and stir over high heat until the liquid starts to thicken.
