1 cup split mung dal , soaked in water 7-8 hours and drained
1 cup water
1 green chili
1 inch ginger
1 large garlic clove
5 -6 sprigs cilantro
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons flax seeds , ground
1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
1/2 cup onion , finely chopped ( optional )
Moong Dal Pesarattu is a traditional breakfast recipe from Andhra Pradesh, India. It is made using split mung dal, which is soaked and blended to form a batter. Instructions

1.In a blender, combine soaked mung dal, water, green chili, ginger, garlic, cilantro, salt, flax seeds, and cumin seeds. Blend until smooth and pour this batter into a bowl.
2.Heat a non-stick tawa over medium flame and when hot, grease it lightly with oil.
3.Pour a ladleful of batter in the centre and spread it outward in a circular motion starting from the centre.
4.Sprinkle some onions on the top and press them gently using a ladle.
5.Drizzle oil around the edges and cook Pesarattu on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
6.Serve hot with coconut chutney or peanut chutney.
