Mooli paratha is a popular breakfast dish in Punjabi cuisine. Radish is a common vegetable in India which is added to many dishes. The crispy outer layer with the spicy and tangy stuffing of radish make it a delightful dish. It is a healthy alternative to bread and can be eaten with yoghurt and pickle. This dish can be enjoyed by all age groups and is a must-try for food lovers.

Instructions

1.Grate the radishes and sprinkle with salt. Keep aside for 10-15 minutes to remove excess water. Squeeze out radish water by pressing between your hands.
2.Heat oil in a pan and add grated radish. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Add coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger paste, amchur powder, red chilli pepper and garam masala. Mix well. Cook until the radish is tender and all water is evaporated. Cool.
3.In a separate bowl, mix the wheat flour (Atta), salt, carom seeds, oil and radish water (or plain water) to make the dough. Knead into a soft dough.
4.Divide dough into equal parts. Make balls and flatten them. Stuff the radish mixture into the dough and roll out the dough into a round paratha.
5.Heat a griddle. Cook the paratha on both sides with oil until golden brown.
6.Serve hot with yoghurt and pickle. Enjoy!
