1 cup white rice
4 cups water
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 ham hocks ( you can also use chicken bones )
1 chicken bouillon cube ( optional )
soy sauce ( to taste )

Instructions

1.Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer under cold water for a few seconds. Drain and repeat until the water coming out of the strainer runs clear.
2.Place the rice, water, sesame oil, ham hocks, and chicken bouillon cube (if using) in a large pot with a tight-fitting lid.
3.Bring the pot to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the rice from sticking.
4.Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Simmer for 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice has absorbed most of the liquid and the ham hocks are tender.
5.Remove the ham hocks from the pot, shred the meat, and remove the bones. Add the shredded meat back into the pot and season with soy sauce to taste.
6.Serve hot and enjoy!
