Instructions

1.In a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it comes to a gentle boil.
2.Add the nonfat dry milk powder and whisk until well combined.
3.Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the milk has thickened and reduced by about half.
4.Add the sugar and water and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture has thickened and reduced further, to the point where it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
5.Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to a greased baking dish.
6.Cut into cubes and serve warm or at room temperature.
