1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 onion , diced into 1 cm
200 g chicken breasts , diced into 1 cm
1 pinch salt
1 slice bacon , diced into 1 cm
8 sliced mushrooms
720 g cooked rice
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup tomato puree
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons sake
1 pinch salt and pepper
4 teaspoons butter
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
8 eggs
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons sake
Omurice is a classic dish in Japanese cuisine that combines fried rice with a thin omelette. The dish became popular after World War II and is now a staple in many Japanese restaurants and households. Mom's Omurice is a variant of this dish that is made with chicken, mushrooms, bacon, and tomato sauce, and is a favorite in many Japanese homes. The combination of savory rice and sweet tomato sauce wrapped in a thin omelette makes for a delicious and flavorful meal. Instructions

1.Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large non-stick frying pan on medium heat.
2.Add diced onions to the pan and cook until soft and slightly browned.
3.Add diced chicken breasts to the pan, season with a pinch of salt, and cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
4.Add diced bacon and sliced mushrooms to the pan, continue cooking until the bacon is crispy and the mushrooms are cooked.
5.Add cooked rice to the pan and stir until the rice is well coated with the vegetable oil and mixed with the chicken and mushroom mixture.
6.Add butter, tomato puree, tomato ketchup, and sake to the rice mixture. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
7.In a separate non-stick frying pan, heat 1 teaspoon of butter and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Beat 2 eggs separately, then pour into the pan. Swirl the pan quickly to spread the eggs evenly. Cook for 1 minute, then place 1/4 of the rice mixture on top of the omelette.
8.Using a spatula, fold the omelette over the rice. Gently shake the pan to release the omelette from the pan and onto a plate.
9.Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup, 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and sake. Repeat this process with the remaining eggs and rice mixture.
