1/2 cup water
1 pie crust ( top and bottom )
1 egg , beaten

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 425°F.
2.In a large bowl, combine ground pork, ground veal, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, savory, celery seed (or celery pepper), and ground cloves until completely mixed.
3.Place mixture in a saucepan and add water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the meat is cooked through and the mixture is thickened.
4.Roll out the bottom pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the cooled meat mixture into the crust.
5.Roll out the top crust and place it over the meat mixture. Seal the edges of the pie.
6.Cut several slits in the top crust to vent the steam. Brush the top crust with beaten egg.
7.Bake for 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
