Ingredients

350 g hazelnut wafer biscuits , crushed
100 g ground hazelnuts
75 g ground almonds
50 g rice flour
500 g nutella ( about 1 2/3 cups )
60 hazelnuts
500 g dark chocolate , melted
2 tablespoons Frangelico ( optional )
Mock Ferrero Rochers are a homemade version of the popular chocolate hazelnut treat, Ferrero Rocher. Made with crushed hazelnut wafer biscuits, ground hazelnuts, and Nutella, these homemade treats are the perfect indulgent dessert. The Nutella ensures that the mixture is perfectly sweet and the hazelnuts provide a delightful crunch. Finished off with a coating of rich dark chocolate, these treats are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, mix together the crushed hazelnut wafer biscuits, ground hazelnuts, ground almonds and rice flour.
2.Add in the Nutella and mix until well combined.
3.Form the mixture into small balls and place a hazelnut in the centre of each one.
4.Place the balls in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.
5.Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or on a double boiler.
6.Dip each ball in the melted chocolate using a fork and then place them on a tray lined with baking paper.
7.Drizzle a little Frangelico over the top of each ball if desired.
8.Place the tray in the fridge until the chocolate has set.
