Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F.
2.Cream margarine and 1/3 cup sugar in large bowl until light. Beat in egg yolks one at a time. Mix in sweet potatoes, rum extract, and melted chocolate.
3.Using electric mixer, beat egg whites and salt in another large bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add 2 tablespoons sugar, beating until stiff but not dry. Fold sweet potato mixture into whites by thirds.
4.Bring 1/2 cup water to boil. Add chopped chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth. Cool slightly.
5.Grease 10-inch pie dish. Sprinkle with cocoa. Pour in batter. Spoon chocolate mixture over; spread evenly.
6.Bake torte until puffed and firm and chocolate crust forms on top, about 50 minutes. Cool in dish on rack. Dust with cocoa. Garnish with chocolate curls and pureed strawberries or raspberries.
