1/2 cup butter , at room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup salted mixed nuts
cooking spray

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and 1/3 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
3.Add the flour and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix together until a dough forms.
4.Press the dough into an 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
5.Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of sugar over the top of the dough.
6.Chop the mixed nuts and sprinkle them over the top of the dough.
7.Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
8.Let cool, then cut into squares and serve.
