Ingredients

200 g vermicelli , broken into 1 inch pieces ( sevai )
150 g sugar
400 ml water
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
4 tablespoons ghee ( clarified butter )
dried fruits , for garnishing
Mithi Sevai is a delicious Indian dessert that is commonly served during festivals and special occasions. Instructions

1.Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli till golden brown on low flame.
2.Once done, remove the vermicelli and put it aside.
3.In the same pan, add water, sugar and cardamom powder and bring to boil till sugar is dissolved.
4.Gently add the roasted vermicelli to the boiling mixture and stir. Make sure the vermicelli is evenly coated with sugar syrup.
5.Cover the pan and cook on low flame till vermicelli is soft and the syrup is absorbed.
6.Once ready, transfer to a serving dish and garnish with dried fruits.
