Ingredients

1 can chickpeas

1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
1 cup soft white cheese ( like neufchatel , I used 1/2 % fat )
Mirj's Hummous Variation is a delicious twist on the classic Middle Eastern dip. Made with chickpeas and soft white cheese, this recipe adds a creamy and cheesy flavor that pairs well with fresh vegetables or pita bread. The lemon juice and garlic also provide health benefits, making this dip a nutritious addition to any appetizer spread. Serve it at your next party or enjoy it as a snack anytime.

Instructions

1.Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then add them to a food processor along with lemon zest and juice, salt, black pepper, and garlic granules. Pulse until the ingredients are well combined and the chickpeas are slightly broken down.
2.Add the soft white cheese to the food processor and pulse again until the dip is smooth and creamy. If it's too thick, add a tablespoon or two of cold water and pulse again.
3.Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more salt or lemon juice to taste.
4.Serve immediately or store chilled in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
