Ingredients

250 g green chilies
50 ml cooking oil
30 g tamarind pulp
100 g beaten yoghurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
salt
250 g roasted onions
35 g roasted peanuts
35 g desiccated coconut
20 g ginger-garlic paste
5 g sesame seeds
1 sprig coriander leaves
Mirchi Ka Salan is a traditional Hyderabadi dish that is commonly served as a side dish with biryani. The dish consists of green chili peppers cooked in a rich and tangy curry sauce made with peanuts, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut, and tamarind pulp. This dish is a perfect combination of spice and tang and is sure to tantalize your taste buds. Instructions

1.Slit the green chilies lengthwise and soak them in hot water for 15 minutes.
2.Heat oil in a pan and saute ginger-garlic paste until fragrant. Add roasted onions, roasted peanuts, desiccated coconut, and sesame seeds and stir-fry for a minute or two.
3.Remove from heat and blend the mixture to a fine paste with water.
4.Heat the same pan again and add the chili peppers. Cook until they are slightly browned on both sides and remove from heat.
5.In another pan, heat the oil and add the ground paste along with tamarind pulp and salt. Add water to adjust the consistency if needed.
6.Add the fried chili peppers and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
7.Take off heat and add beaten yogurt and lemon juice. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
