Ingredients

1 package pie crust mix ( or if I have the time I like to use my own )
4 slices bacon
1 small onion , chopped thinly and small
1/4 cup swiss cheese , shredded
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg , slightly beaten
1/2 cup light cream or 1/2 cup milk , heated
1/4 teaspoon pepper , freshly ground
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg , freshly ground

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Roll out the pie crust and cut it into 12 equal circles.
3.Press each circle into a muffin tin.
4.Fry the bacon until crispy and then crumble it into small pieces.
5.Sauteed onions over low heat until softened but not browned and then sprinkle them on top of the bacon.
6.Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese over the onions and bacon.
7.In a bowl, whisk together the egg, heated light cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
8.Pour the egg mixture over the cheese until it reaches the top of each crust.
9.Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the egg mixture is fully cooked.
