1 cup millet
6 cups water
1 cup peeled diced sweet potato ( raw or cooked )
1 slice peeled fresh ginger
1 cinnamon stick
4 tablespoons honey
chestnuts or walnuts ( optional )

Instructions

1.Rinse the millet under cold water and drain it.
2.In a medium pot, add the millet, sweet potato, water, ginger, and cinnamon stick.
3.Bring to a boil over high heat.
4.Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally
5.Remove the ginger and cinnamon stick.
6.Stir in the honey.
7.Top with chestnuts or walnuts (optional).
