Ingredients

3 cups rice
3 1/2 cups water
1 -2 tablespoon sesame oil
1 -2 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
ham ( may sub bulgoki or Crab stick )
pickled radish
1 bunch spinach
1 package nori
1 1/2 cups shredded carrots
Mika's Kim Bap is a traditional Korean dish that originated in the early 20th century. Bap means rice, and Kim Bap means seasoned rice roll. It is a popular snack and lunch food in Korea, often filled with pickled vegetables, meat, or seafood. The rolls are usually sliced into bite-sized pieces and served with soy sauce or spicy sauce. With the rise of Korean culture in recent years, Kim Bap has become a favorite among food enthusiasts around the world. Mika's Kim Bap, in particular, is a delicious and healthy version that incorporates fresh vegetables and lean protein.

Instructions

1.Rinse and drain rice several times until the water runs clear. Cook the rice by bringing rice and water to a boil in a pot over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover with a lid. Cook for 13-15 minutes until the rice is cooked.
2.While the rice is cooking, cook the spinach by blanching it in boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Rinse in cold water and squeeze out excess water. Mix with sesame oil and a pinch of salt.
3.Cook the eggs in a pan coated thinly with cooking oil over medium heat. Add salt and pepper to taste. When the eggs are cooked, cut into strips.
4.Use the same pan to cook the ham or bulgoki until cooked through.
5.Once the rice is cooked, remove from pan and mix with sesame oil, roasted sesame seeds and salt.
6.Prepare a bamboo rolling mat with a sheet of nori on top. Place rice on top of the nori and spread evenly. Leave a 1-inch margin at the top.
7.Arrange the spinach, egg, ham, pickled radish or crab stick and shredded carrots in a line down the middle of the rice.
8.Roll the mat forward tightly with the filling enclosed inside the rice. Press the edges to ensure it sticks together. Slice into bite-sized pieces.
