Ingredients

1 1/2 cups spring onions

24 cabbage leaves
3 garlic cloves

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.In a large bowl, mix together spring onions, olive oil, long grain rice, canned chick-peas, finely chopped parsley, chopped & peeled fresh tomato, allspice, salt and pepper.
3.In a separate bowl, blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling salted water until tender but still firm.
4.Lay each cabbage leaf flat and spoon a few tablespoons of the filling mixture into the center. Fold in the sides of the leaf and roll up tightly into a small bundle.
5.In a small bowl, whisk together garlic cloves, salt, dried mint, lemon juice, and olive oil.
6.Arrange the cabbage rolls in a baking dish and pour the garlic mixture over them.
7.Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45-50 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
