Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup water
1 packet taco seasoning mix
12 flour tortillas , or more if needed
1 can refried beans
3 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese
1 jar taco sauce
1 cup shredded Colby-Jack cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
3.Add water and taco seasoning mix. Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
4.Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
5.Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
6.Layer tortillas on the bottom of the dish. Spread refried beans over tortillas and sprinkle with Colby-Jack cheese.
7.Spoon half of the ground beef mixture over the cheese. Repeat layering of tortillas, refried beans, cheese, and meat mixture, making sure to reserve some cheese for topping.
8.Pour taco sauce over meat mixture and sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
9.Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
10.Serve and enjoy!
