Ingredients

200 g sugar

150 g dark chocolate , chopped
300 g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
200 g butter or 200 g margarine , melted and cooled
4 eggs , beaten
250 ml strong coffee

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2.Grease a 23cm springform cake tin and line it with baking paper.
3.In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ground hazelnuts, salt and sugar.
4.In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter and beaten eggs. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
5.Gradually stir in the chopped dark chocolate and the strong coffee.
6.Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
7.Leave the cake to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the tin. Serve either warm or cold.
