Ingredients

2 cups buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
salt , to taste
1 sprig fresh curry leaves
2 green chile peppers , sliced into thin rings
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 dried red chile peppers
1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 pinch asafoetida powder

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, take 2 cups of buttermilk and add 1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric.
2.Mix well and add salt to taste.
3.Take a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
4.As the seeds start to splutter, add dried red chili peppers, fenugreek seeds, fresh curry leaves, and asafoetida powder.
5.Stir fry for 30 seconds and switch off the stove.
6.To the bowl of spiced buttermilk, add the tempering from the pan and mix it well.
7.Add sliced green chili peppers and refrigerate for an hour before serving.
