Ingredients

1 lb mincemeat
3/4 cup raisins or 3/4 cup sultana
2 cups hot water
2 slices bread ( thick slices )
milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon butter
425 g pineapple
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 tablespoons soya sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cornflour ( roughly )
My Gran's Meatballs are a family recipe that have been passed down for generations. Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
2.Break the bread into pieces and put it into the hot water to soak for about 10 minutes.
3.In a separate bowl, mix together the mincemeat, raisins or sultanas, and the soaked bread.
4.Add the egg and mix well.
5.Form the mixture into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
6.Place the meatballs into a greased baking dish.
7.In a separate pan, melt the butter and oil together over medium heat.
8.Add the pineapple, brown sugar, tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce to the butter and oil mixture and stir well.
9.Combine the cornflour with a little water to make a paste.
10.Add the cornflour mixture to the pan and stir well.
11.Pour the mixture over the meatballs.
12.Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
