Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 cup catsup
1/2 cup fine cracker crumb
1 can tomato soup
2 cups water
1 teaspoon chili powder

1 large onion , chopped
1 medium green pepper , chopped
2 -3 garlic cloves , chopped
1 cup celery , chopped
1 bay leaf
1 beef bouillon cube

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.In a large bowl, mix ground beef, egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, catsup, and cracker crumbs.
3.Form meat mixture into balls and lay them on a baking sheet.
4.Bake them in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
5.In a large pot, add tomato soup, water, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, onion, green pepper, garlic, celery, bay leaf, and beef bouillon cube.
6.Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to low.
7.Carefully add meatballs, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
8.Remove bay leaf and serve hot.
