1 lb spaghetti , cooked al dente or 1 lb ziti pasta , cooked
2 tablespoons olive oil ( divided )
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 onion , chopped finely
1 -2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 1/2 lbs chopped meat ( lamb or beef )
14 ounces diced seasoned tomatoes
1 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup sliced pitted olive , chopped
salt and pepper
1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 eggs , beaten
1 1/2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°.
2.In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, onion, and minced garlic. Cook until onion is softened.
3.Add the chopped meat to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any fat.
4.Pour in the diced seasoned tomatoes, tomato sauce, sliced olives, salt, and pepper. Stir in the dried oregano and parsley. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat.
5.In a separate saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Whisk in milk until smooth and bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
6.Remove from heat. Stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Gradually stir in 2 beaten eggs.
7.Add the cooked pasta to the meat mixture in the skillet. Pour everything into a greased 9X13 inch baking dish.
8.Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the top of the pasta and meat mixture, and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese.
9.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
