Instructions

1.In a small bowl, combine warm milk and sugar, then add yeast and let sit for 5 minutes.
2.In a large bowl, mix heavy cream, flour, sugar, salt, and cardamom together. Knead for 5 minutes until dough is elastic.
3.Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
4.Soften butter and spread it over the dough.
5.Grate almond paste and spread it over the dough, followed by crushed almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and almond extract.
6.Roll the dough into a long stoll and form into a circle.
7.Brush the dough with egg white and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
8.Bake for 20 minutes at 375°F. Cool and serve.
