Ingredients

2 lbs stew meat ( trimmed )
24 ounces Italian dressing
1 -2 au jus gravy ( if using packets-add water as instructed on packet )
3 cups rice ( I use Uncle Bens long grain )
cornstarch ( cornstarch & water to thicken )
oil ( to brown beef )

Instructions

1.Marinate the stew meat in the Italian dressing for at least 1 hour (but up to 24 hours) in the refrigerator.
2.Cook the rice according to the package instructions.
3.In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches, removing the cooked beef from the skillet as you go and holding it in a bowl.
4.Once all of the beef is browned, return it to the skillet. Add the au jus gravy and bring to a simmer.
5.Whisk together a tablespoon of cornstarch with a tablespoon of water, then add to the beef mixture. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens.
6.Serve the beef tips over rice.
