Ingredients

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 chopped sweet onion ( can also use green onions )
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
1 lb ground turkey ( can also use ground beef , pork , chicken , lamb )
1 tablespoon chili paste , to taste ( we like Sriracha brand )
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
2 -3 tablespoons soy sauce ( to taste )
2 -3 tablespoons sake ( rice wine or other white wine )
1 tablespoon minced gingerroot
2 containers silken tofu ( drained and cut into cubes )
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Mapo Dofu is a traditional Szechuan dish commonly found in many Chinese restaurants around the world. Instructions

1.Heat sesame oil and cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2.Add onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
3.Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
4.Add chili paste, chicken stock, soy sauce, sake, and ginger. Bring to a simmer.
5.Add silken tofu and gently stir.
6.Mix cornstarch with a little cold water to make a paste. Add it to the skillet and stir continuously until the sauce thickens.
