Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds dry great Northern beans
1 large onion , cut into wedges
4 ounces salt pork , diced
3/4 cup real maple syrup
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups boiling water

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven at 350F.
2.Rinse beans in cold water.
3.Take 8 quart Dutch oven and add beans, onion, salt pork, maple syrup, molasses, brown sugar, ginger, mustard powder, salt, and pepper in it.
4.Then pour boiling water into the Dutch oven.
5.Bake covered in the oven for 4 hours.
6.Then remove the cover and bake for another 1 hour until the beans are cooked properly and the sauce thickens.
7.Take it out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
