Ingredients

1 lb flank steak
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 cup vegetable oil , frying
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons garlic , chopped
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
8 ounces pasta , angel hair
2 cups cabbage , shredded
1/2 cup green onion , chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons sesame oil
Mangolian Beef & Shanghia noodles combine tender flank steak, crispy cabbage, and soft angel hair pasta in a delicious and savory dish. The beef is marinated in vegetable oil and stir-fried with fresh ginger, garlic and soy sauce. The cabbage is stir-fried with green onions in a blend of olive and sesame oils. Finally, soft and chewy angel hair pasta is cooked and served as a hearty base for the beef and vegetables. This is a perfect meal for a weeknight dinner or anytime you're craving something satisfying and flavorful. Simply put, it's a classic, tasty dish that everyone will love.

Instructions

1.Slice the flank steak against the grain into 1/4 inch thick bite-size pieces. Place in a large bowl, add 4 tsp vegetable oil, and mix well.
2.In a smaller bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cornstarch. Set aside.
3.In a wok or large skillet, heat up 1 cup of vegetable oil on high heat. Once hot, add the beef and stir fry for 1-2 minutes. Remove beef from the skillet and transfer onto a plate lined with paper towels.
4.Remove all but 2 tablespoons of the oil from the skillet. Add ginger and garlic, and stir fry for a minute. Add soy sauce, water, and the brown sugar and cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce begins to thicken.
5.In the meantime, cook Angel hair pasta according to the instructions on the packaging.
6.Cut the cabbage into thin slices and chop up green onions.
7.In a pan, heat up 3 tablespoons olive oil along with 2 tablespoons sesame oil until hot. Add in cabbage and stir fry for a minute or two. Add in the green onions and stir fry for another minute.
8.Add the beef to the skillet with the thickened sauce and stir fry for another minute or two.
9.Serve the beef over a bed of angel hair pasta, and top with the stir fried cabbage and green onions.
