Ingredients

2 kg ripe mangoes
1/4 kg sugar ( this amount can be reduced depending on our own taste and judgment )
1 1/2 cups water
2 fresh coconut
5 cardamom pods , crushed
3 tablespoons ghee or 3 tablespoons butter
10 raisins
15 cashews , cracked

Instructions

1.Peel and chop the mangoes into small pieces.
2.Grind the coconut into a fine paste with 1 cup of water.
3.In a saucepan, heat the remaining water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add the mango pieces and cook until they are soft.
4.Add the coconut milk and cardamom powder to the saucepan and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
5.In a separate pan, heat the ghee or butter until it melts. Add the cashews and raisins and fry until they turn golden brown.
6.Add the fried cashews and raisins to the mango-coconut milk mixture. Serve hot or cold as per your preference.
