Mandelscotti is also called almond biscotti, originating from the Prato area in Italy. The word biscotti in Italian means twice baked because they're baked twice - once in the flattened log form and again after they're cut as slices. The crunchy texture makes them ideal for dipping in a hot beverage. It's not too sweet but has enough crunch to satisfy your craving for a sweet snack. The rich almond flavor can take you back to Italy, which is perfect for those who want to travel without leaving their home.
