2 lbs hamburger , cooked , seasoned for tacos with
taco seasoning
2 jalapeno peppers
1 medium red onion
2 bags shredded cheddar cheese
2 bags tortilla chips
2 cans refried beans
1 container sour cream
1 medium tomatoes
1 jar salsa ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a large skillet, cook and crumble the seasoned hamburger over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
3.Finely chop the jalapeño peppers and red onion, set aside.
4.On a large baking sheet, spread a layer of tortilla chips. Spoon on a layer of refried beans, followed by a layer of seasoned hamburger. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the hamburger.
5.Add another layer of tortilla chips and repeat the layering process until all ingredients have been used, ending with a thick layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
6.Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
7.Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped tomato, jalapeño peppers, and red onion. Serve with sour cream and salsa, if desired.
