2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 large onion , chopped
3 garlic cloves , minced
1 lb veggie crumbles ( Smart Ground Original )
28 ounces petite diced tomatoes
15 ounces tomato sauce
6 ounces tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 -2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon fennel seed , crushed
2 -3 bay leaves
Mama's Spaghetti Sauce - Vegan is a plant-based version of traditional spaghetti sauce that is perfect for vegans and vegetarians. Instructions

1.Heat buttery spread and oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2.Cook onions until softened, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
3.Add garlic and cook for another couple of minutes.
4.Stir in veggie crumbles and cook until browned for about 8 minutes.
5.Add petite diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, sugar, oregano, fennel seed, and bay leaves.
6.Stir well and bring it to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
7.Discard bay leaves and serve over pasta as desired.
