Ingredients

1 lb ground beef ( can use more if you want . ) or 1 lb turkey ( can use more if you want . )
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
3 tablespoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika ( or more for a spicier lasagne )
2 sliced garlic cloves
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cans canned tomatoes , cut up
1 cup tomato sauce
1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix ( you can use less )
8 ounces lasagna noodles
1 lb mozzarella cheese , sliced
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grates parmesan cheese
2 bay leaves
Mama's classic lasagne is a beloved family recipe that has been passed down through generations. Instructions

1.Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the fat, then add in the seasoning salt, oregano, paprika, garlic, pepper, canned tomatoes and tomato sauce.
2.In a separate bowl, mix the spaghetti sauce mix with a cup of water and add to the beef mixture, then add bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
3.Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cook the lasagne noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse them under cold water.
4.In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer the noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and parmesan cheese, followed by another layer of noodles and so on, finishing with a layer of mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese.
5.Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
