Ingredients

1 lit milk
300 g sugar
3 strends saffron
30 g refined flour
500 g pure ghee
1 tablespoon sliced almonds
1 teaspoon fennel seed
Mal Puas are a traditional Indian dessert that is commonly served during festivals and special occasions. Instructions

1.In a deep pan, boil milk on high flame.
2.Take a spoonful of hot milk and dissolve saffron strands in it.
3.In a mixing bowl, add refined flour, sugar and fennel seeds, then add hot milk to the bowl mixing it well until a smooth batter is formed. Add saffron milk and mix again properly.
4.Let the batter stand for 10-15 minutes, until it is fermented.
5.In a deep pan, heat ghee on medium flame.
6.Using a spoon, pour small batter portions carefully into the pan and fry them until golden brown in color.
7.Drain the excess ghee and transfer them to a plate.
8.Garnish with sliced almonds and serve hot.
