Ingredients

1 quart homogenized milk
1/4 cup yogurt ( starter )
1/2 pint heavy cream
MADZOON -Armenian Yogurt is a traditional thick and creamy yogurt that originates from Armenia. It is made by fermenting milk with a starter culture of live bacteria called Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. The result is a tangy and slightly sour-tasting yogurt that is delicious on its own or as a base for other dishes. The addition of heavy cream gives it a luxurious and rich texture that is perfect for those who love their yogurt nice and creamy. It is also an ideal yogurt for those who are lactose tolerant as the fermenting process breaks down some of the lactose in the milk, making it easier to digest.

Instructions

1.Heat the quart of milk in a large pot on medium-low, stirring frequently, until it reaches 85 degrees Celsius.
2.Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool to 45 degrees Celsius. Stir in the starter yogurt until blended.
3.Pour the mixture into a sterilized container and cover with a lid. Wrap the container with a blanket to keep it warm.
4.Let it sit for 8-10 hours or until it reaches the desired thickness.
5.Once it's thick enough, stir in the heavy cream.
6.Transfer the yogurt mixture to individual containers with lids and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
