Ingredients

1 packages mache or ( 6 ounce ) package spring mixed salad greens
2 cups halved strawberries or 2 cups quartered strawberries
1 cup sliced fresh kumquats or jar kumquats , drained , rinsed and sliced
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
24 crystallized rose petals ( recipe follows )
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons champagne vinegar
1 tablespoon poppy seed
1 tablespoon rose water
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
24 pesticide-free rose petals
1 cup confectioners ' sugar
1/2 teaspoon meringue powder
3 tablespoons water
granulated sugar or superfine sugar

Instructions

1.Rinse the mache or spring mixed salad greens and pat dry with paper towels.
