2 celery ribs ( sliced )
2 carrots ( sliced )
1/2 yellow onion ( chopped )
2 garlic cloves ( chopped )
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 bouillon cube
4 cups water
salt and pepper

Instructions

1.Rinse the lentils and set aside.

5.Add the lentils, tomatoes, bouillon cube, and water into the pot and bring to a boil.

7.Add salt and pepper to taste.
8.Remove the bay leaves before serving.
