Ingredients

4 2/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 eggs ( beaten )
2/3 cup water
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
2 lbs ground turkey
2 large onions ( minced )
2 garlic cloves ( minced )
3 -4 cups tomato sauce
3/4 cup tomatoes ( chopped )
half-and-half ( as needed )
salt & fresh ground pepper ( to taste )
1 1/2 lbs swiss cheese ( shredded )
3 cups ricotta cheese

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add eggs, water, and olive oil. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
2.Form the dough into a ball and let it rest for 30 minutes at a room temperature.
3.Preheat the oven to 375 F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
4.In a pan, melt the butter and saute the onions and garlic for 3-5 minutes, then add the ground turkey and cook thoroughly. Add tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
5.In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese and half-and-half.
6.Divide the dough into 4 parts and roll each part to make thin sheets. Place each sheet into the greased baking dish, and spread one-third of the meat sauce on it, followed by a layer of shredded Swiss cheese and then a layer of ricotta cheese mixture. Repeat the layers three times and end with a layer of shredded Swiss cheese on the top.
7.Cover the dish with foil paper and bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the cheese becomes brown and bubbly.
8.Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
