Ingredients

500 g basmati rice or 500 g long-grain rice
400 g lamb or 400 g beef

3 medium onions
1 -2 tablespoon tomato paste
100 g cooking oil

Instructions

1.Rinse rice and soak in lukewarm salted water for 1 hour. Drain rice.
2.Boil 4 cups of salted water in a pot. Add rice to the boiling water and stir it gently..
3.Reduce the heat after 5-7 minutes. Cook until rice is soft and fluffy.
4.Fry sliced onions in oil until golden brown. Add tomato paste and meat, fry for another 5-7 minutes until meat is browned on all sides.
5.Cut the tips off the green beans and add them to the meat. Stir for 5-10 minutes.
6.Layer the pot with rice and meat mixture. add ½ cup of water and place the pot over medium heat.
7.Once you see steam from the rice, wrap the lid with a towel and cover the pot. Reduce heat and let it simmer.
