Ingredients

2 packages cream cheese , softened
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 package imitation crabmeat , flaked
1 can water chestnuts , drained and chopped
5 green onions , chopped
2 packages wonton wrappers

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and soy sauce. Mix well.
2.Add the crab meat, water chestnuts, and green onions. Stir until well combined.
3.Fill a small bowl with water. Keep it close while you work.
4.Lay a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon about one tablespoon of the filling onto the center of each wrapper.
5.Dip your finger in the water and moisten all four edges of the wonton wrapper. Then fold one corner of the wrapper over the filling toward the opposite corner to form a triangle. Press to seal the wrapper.
6.Pull the two opposite corners of the triangle together and overlap them. Moisten one corner of the wrapper and press to seal. Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers.
7.Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the wontons and cook until golden brown, 2-3 minutes on each side.
8.Remove the wontons using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
